NSCDC arrests man for stealing clothes in Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kaiama division, kwara state Command has arrested a 21 years old Saliu Abdullahi for stealing clothes, radio and stabiliser.

Abdullahi was arrested based on allegation of House breaking and theft by Baba Umar of Pissio extension area in Kaiama local government.

After the arrest, the suspect in his personal statement accepted that he committed the allegations made against him. Some of items recovered from him includes: stabiliser, radio, and clothes.

The suspect was prosecuted at grade 1 area Court before His Lordship, Adamu Lukman.

He was convicted by thr Court for 3 months without any option of fine for trespass and 1 year imprisonment without any option of fine for theft.

He will be serving the jail terms at the Nigerian Correctional centre, New Bussa.

However, the state NSCDC Commandant, Umar Mohammed appealed to the public, especially the young ones to desist from criminal activities.

Mohammed urged the public to always support the corps and other security agencies with timely and credible intelligence information so as to help in curbing all the menace.
