NSCDC, Correctional join forces to guard custodial centres in Osun

The Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command, Michael Adaralewa has reiterated his readiness to deploy personnel to join Nigeria Corrections Armed Squad to guard custodial centres in the State.

Adaralewa made this known, while on a courtesy visit to the Controller of Nigeria Correctional Service in the state,   Mr Tolu Ogunsakin.

According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, ASC Kehinde Adeleke, the commandant said, ‘’NSCDC is saddled with the responsibility of protecting critical national asset and infrastructure and am assuring you that the command is ready to support Nigeria Correctional service to checkmate Jail break in the country.”

The NSCDC boss noted that the two agencies under the same ministry should complement each other to achieve same goal of protection of lives and property while soliciting unwavering support  to put an end to security challenges facing the country.

Responding, the Controller of Corrections in the state, Mr Tolu Ogunsakin appreciated the new NSCDC Commandant for the visit, emphasizing that both agencies are sisters.

He also expressed his readiness to work closely with the corps to improve security architecture in the state.
