In his continuous support for educational development, a former Lagos lawmaker, Hon. Rotimi Olowo, has pledged to renovate classrooms in Eva Adelaja Girls Secondary School, Bariga, Lagos state.

Olowo represented Somolu constituency 1 in the Lagos state House of Assembly from 2007 to 2023.

The former lawmaker made the pledge at an event organised by the management of Eva Adelaja Girls Junior and Secondary School in Bariga, where he was bestowed Honorary Guard of Honour for his contributions to education.

He donated substantial cash gift to dedicated teachers, while recognizing their tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to shaping young minds.

Olowo added ” This donation serves as a token of appreciation for the teachers’ efforts in moulding the minds of the students”.

He took the opportunity to engage with the students, inspired them to continue to strive for success in their academic pursuits.

The event which was filled with excitement and pride, showcased the immense impact of the former lawmaker on the school and the students.

Some students and the staff expressed their deep appreciation for Olowo’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

They said the guard of honour served as a powerful symbol of gratitude, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to the school and the wider community.

In her remarks, the Tutor General/Permanent Secretary of Education District 11, Mrs Anike Adekanye commended Olowo for his steadfast dedication and support towards education, emphasizing the significance of his contributions.

” I want to commend your dedication and robust support for education in our education district. You have done extremely well for this district and we can feel the significance of your contributions to the development of education in this district”, said Adekanye.
