Ondo APC Primary: Aiyedatiwa expected to emerge victorious

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary results are beginning to be tallied in Ondo State, the state’s Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, appears to be riding high.

As results from voting places around the state continue to come in, Aiyedatiwa, who ran in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary on Saturday with fifteen other candidates, has an early lead.

As of the time of this report, the Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, who leads the party’s seven-member primary electoral committee is yet to announce a winner, the committee may ultimately declare the governor the winner based on the actual situation on the ground.

Along with 15 other candidates, including Olusoji Ehinlanwo, Jimi Odimayo, Jimoh Ibrahim, and APC National Vice Chairman (South West), Isaac Kekemeke, the incumbent is running for reelection on the party ticket.

In addition, there are two female candidates, Funmilayo Adekojo and Funke Omogoroye. Others are Wale Akinterinwa, Olugbenga Edema, Chief Olusola Oke (SAN), Olamide Ohunyeye, Morayo Lebi, Oladiran Iyantan, Prof. Francis Faduyile, and Mayowa Akinfolarin.
