Osun APC slams PDP, Governor on accusation to unleash violence

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to wake up from its daydreaming and hallucination and brace up for the task of securing the state.

The APC noted that the PDP-led government is a product of maximum violence unleashed on the opposition during the last series of elections in the state.

According to the Osun State chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, by accusing the APC of ‘a sponsored ploy to destabilize Osun State through kidnappings and fomenting of conflicts across towns and villages in the state’ is an attestation of the fact that the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration has admitted failure and lack of what it takes to provide qualitative governance.

Lawal stated that one needs not be a rocket scientist to observe and conclude that through actions and inactions in government, Adeleke and his co-travellers are only interested in power and not responsibility.

In the APC chairman’s words: “Mr Sunday Bisi, the chairman of the Pathfinder faction of the Osun State PDP should know, if at all he has the natural endowments to do so, that the APC does not need any foul means to establish its presence and popularity in the state which is its traditional enclave.

“The State Commissioner of Police shall be doing the people of the state a lot of good if the PDP chairman is invited to tell the police command the identities of the fathom leaders of the opposition who were planning to destabilize the state failure of which he should be made to face the relevant wrath of the law.

“That Sunday Bisi could descend so low to append his signature under such jeremiad tagged press statement shows the reason why the embattled symbol of their government is perpetually engaging in maladministration day-in-day-out.

“Discerning minds don’t need to go extra-mile to observe that it is lack of what to do with governance by the opportunist Governor Adeleke that has been causing the seemingly intractable crisis between Ifon-Osun and Ilobu which, to a large extent, is exposing the ineptitude of the puppet governor.

“Let it sink in the ears of Sunday Bisi and his co-travellers that if they are waiting for us, the APC, to teach them governance, they will do so till eternity as the PDP-fraudulently-produced governor can be likened to an armed robber who succeeded in snatching a vehicle from his victim but he is unable to start it because of inexperience.

“It is mere bunkum to celebrate a mere invitation of a state governor for serving on a Federal Government committee when the limitations of such governor are in the public domain of all and sundry.

“The self-adulation of Sunday Bisi that the inclusion of Adeleke as a member of the National Minimum Wage Committee is the endorsement of the embattled governor by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not hold water as events over the years have shown that some people misplace notoriety for popularity,” Lawal stated.
