The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declare that the party has not started any membership registration in the state.

The APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a communique issued after the party’s stakeholders’ meeting in Osogbo, told party members to ignore the ongoing registration being conducted by the Rauf Aregbesola caucus because it is unknown to the party.

Aregbesola, who is an ex-governor of Osun state under the umbrella of APC created a group, The Omoluabi Progressives and launched its membership registration recently.

While fielding questions from newsmen, the Secretary of the party, Kamoru Alao, said that the party in the State had reported Aregbesola to the National Secretariat for causing distraction to the party.

He said, “We are discouraging our members who are loyal party APC member to not go there to register with group of Aregbesola because Omoluabi as a group is not a member of our party in Osun state.

“Rauf Aregbesola in as far as we are concerned in Osun APC, he is no more member of APC.

“We have taken steps three times to notify the National Secretariat that Aregbesola is giving us distractions in APC affairs in the state and then the party at the National should do the needful in dealing with him.

“He is a national figure. But if we cannot handle his case in this state, we have referred his matter to National Secretariat and I know, soonest that they are going to act on it.”
