Osun State House of Assembly has approved Governor Ademola Adeleke’s request to appoint 10 out of the approved 25 Special Advisers nominees as cabinet members.

The Assembly also approved the governor’s request to appoint five more Special Advisers, which will bring the total to 30.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Olamide Tiamiyu, said the Assembly gave the approval on Tuesday during an executive session.

According to him, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun had read the Adeleke’s letter to the lawmakers at their meeting, where the governor explained that 10 nominees out of the 25 earlier approved by the House will be cabinet members.

When the Speaker raised the discussion, the Majority Leader, Hon. Kofoworola Babajide Adewunmi said that the governor’s request should be approved by the House.
