Osun government clarifies incident involving governor’s wife, orderly

Osun State Government has clarified the incident involving the wife of the State Governor, Mrs Titilola Adeleke and her orderly.

A video has been making the rounds on the social media, showing a female police officer helping the wife of the Osun State Governor to wear her earrings.

This video has sparked reactions of Nigerians online.

Explaining the incident, the Media Assistant, Office of the wife of the Governor, Nofisat Soliu, in a statement issued on Monday said, “Mrs Adeleke got stuck while trying to fix her jewelries to dress up for an event and the Police officer who was there incidentally offered to help her fix it.

“It is never a practice for police officers within Government House to be involved in such activities.

“We wish to inform the public that there is a standing rule for all principal officers and top functionaries of the state government never to engage their security details in any domestic or unofficial engagement.”
