Oyebanji, Alake inaugurate 1500 capacity private mini stadium in Ikere

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji and Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake, were both in Ikere-Ekiti Wednesday to commission a private mini stadium that will boost sports and youth development in the state.

Governor Oyebanji noted that the project delivered by Olukismet Foundation was a good example of a Public Private Partnership.

Alake who was the Special Guest praised the foundation for investing in youth development adding that with the mini stadium, young people in Ikere and across the state will take full advantage of the facility to develop their sporting and football talents.

Governor Oyebanji who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Monisade Afuye, said his administration will continue to foster Public Private Partnerships by providing an enabling environment for businesses, talents and resources to flourish towards achieving his shared prosperity mantra.

Commissioner for Youth Development, Adedayo Gold, who also attended the event said that the 1,500 capacity mini stadium will bolster sports development especially football in the State.

Pesent at the commissioning were Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, SSAP on Students Engagement, Sunday Asefon, SA Independent Project Monitoring, Femi Ajayi, SA State Capital Development Authority, Tade Aluko among others.
