Reliable sources have confirmed that Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group Afenifere, is alive, hale, and hearty.

This confirmation counters recent rumors suggesting the nonagenarian had passed away.

A close source to Pa Adebanjo, who initially did not respond to calls and texts from our correspondent, has now clarified the elder statesman’s health status.

“Pa Adebanjo is doing well. He’s hale and hearty. Disregard the speculation flying around about his state of health.

“I think it’s a case of misplaced identity. Papa is alive,” the source, who wished to remain anonymous, stated.
