Osun guber primaries: Ogunbiyi accuses PDP national secretariat of working for Adeleke

Akin Ogunbiyi has accused the national secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, of working for Senator Ademola Adeleke in Tuesday’s governorship primary in the state.

Ogunbiyi said this while fielding questions from journalists in Osogbo on Monday.

The insurance guru had earlier announced his withdrawal from the primary election, accusing the National Working Committee of the party of bias.

He further accused the Senator Ayu-led national secretariat of working for Senator Ademola Adeleke.

He said, “The people coming from Abuja will do the dictates of their leaders, they have made up their minds to give the primary to Sen. Ademola Adeleke, I can only come to the conclusion to withdraw from the race though very difficult for me.”

Adeleke was the party’s candidate in the 2018 election, losing to All Progressive Congress’ Gboyega Oyetola after a rerun.
