The governor shared his thoughts on the event:

“I had the honor of attending the 29th Convocation Ceremony of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, to celebrate academic excellence and the transformative power of education.

“The presence of the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio; Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, alongside other eminent personalities, added depth to the occasion.

“I deeply appreciate the Senate President’s generous remarks on the progress we are making in education, and I am especially grateful for his directive on the National Assembly’s support for critical infrastructure around our airport corridor.

“As a government, we remain fully committed to repositioning our education sector to meet present demands and prepare our youth for the future. The recent ranking of EKSU as the top state university in Nigeria only strengthens our resolve to continue investing in quality, functional, and inclusive education.

“Congratulations to all graduates, and to the three distinguished Nigerians—Senator (Dr.) Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, and Dr. Mansur Muhtar—on their well-deserved honorary degrees.”
