It was a sober night and one of teary eyes on Saturday, February 11 at Marriot Hotel, GRA Ikeja.

It was the day statesmen, movie stars from within and outside Nigeria, family members and friends of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, founder of Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) gathered to remember her numerous good deeds and life changing impacts she made during her very eventful earthly sojourn.

It was a night of tributes that had many of the attendees shed torrent of tears for a great woman who changed the fortune of the Nigerian film industry and motion picture industry in Africa.

Among the tributians were industry giants such as Onyeka Onwenu, Mo Abudu, Lydia Forson, Rita Dominic, Dele Momodu, Patience Ozokwor, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpota, Zeb Ejiro, Agatha Amata, Steve Ayorinde, Ngozi Nwosu, Gloria Young, Dakuku Peterside, Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso who represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf, Desmond Elliot, Segun Arinze among many others.
