PHOTO NEWS: Oluremi Tinubu crowns Zamalek Champions at 2025 African Volleyball finals

Zamalek Club of Egypt emerged champions at the 2025 African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship held in Abuja on Sunday, 13th April 2025. The tournament, which drew top volleyball clubs from across the continent, ended on a high note with a colourful closing ceremony attended by top dignitaries.

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, presented the championship trophy to the winning team and also decorated standout players in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Present at the event were the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi; President of the Confederation of African Volleyball; Chairman of National Hajaj, Buchra; and the President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, Mustapha Berraf.

The First Lady commended the players for their dedication and sportsmanship, and emphasized the importance of sports in uniting the continent and empowering women.
