Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday hosted players of the MFM female basketball team who are the reigning champions of the Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League.

The Governor assured them on the government’s support for them always.

He wrote on Facebook, “I had the pleasure of meeting the MFM Women’s Basketball Team, the reigning champions of the Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League.

“During their visit, I took the opportunity to encourage and motivate them to bring honor to Nigeria in international competitions.

“I assured the team that the Lagos State Government would provide them with the necessary sporting facilities they require to excel. This support is crucial to their success, and we are committed to helping them reach new heights.

“By providing them with the necessary support, we can propel them forward and allow them to shine, bringing pride not only to themselves but also to their families and our country.”
