PHOTO NEWS: Tinubu, Soludo, Uzodimma, Ngige bid Ezeife, former Anambra Governor farewell

President Bola Tinubu, Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, his Imo State counterpart, Hope Uzodimma, and other dignitaries converged on the country home of the third Republic Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife to pay their last respect and bid him farewell.

Harvard trained Economist and retired Federal Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ezeife served as the elected governor of Anambra State between 1992 and 1993.

He was a political adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and a national figure.

Other dignitaries at the funeral event where Governor Uzodimma delivered the message of President Tinubu include Senators Ben Obi, Uche Ekwunife, and senior officials of Anambra State Governments.

In his social media post on the funeral, Governor Uzodimma wrote:  “Late Chief Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife (Okwadike) was a pan-Nigerian, well known for his foresight in the development of Igbo nation and Nigeria at large.

“Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Funeral of the former Governor of Anambra State, I expressed the fact that while we mourn Okwadike, we must promote his legacy of sustainable growth across our region and the nation.

“As we bid farewell to an illustrious son of Igbo land, our prayers are for him to rest in the bossom of the Lord and to grant his family and ndi Anambra State, the fortitude to bear the loss.”
