Police assures of safety on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

The Nigeria Police has assured Nigerians of their safety on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway following reports of attacks on the road.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department and Superintending Deputy Inspector-General for Southwest zones, DIG Babatunde Johnson Kokumo gave the assurance on Friday when he embarked on a strategic assessment tour of the expressway with particular emphasis on locations across the Ogun/Oyo states boundaries.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State, Adewale Osifeso, DIG Kokumo in the company of the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, Adebowale Williams, and his visiting entourage inspected locations at Sapade, Alapako, Onigari, Ogunmakin all border towns connecting the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway geographically cutting across Ogun and Oyo states Police Commands.
While appealing to residents and other stakeholders to assist the Police in curbing security threats through the provision of credible and timely information, he further gave the assurances of strategic operational and tactical interventions from the IGP ranging from remodelling the security architecture to comprehensive deployments to forestall any untoward situation.
