Security operatives take over CBEX office in Ibadan after attack

Security operatives from the Nigeria Police and the Western Nigeria Security Network, popularly known as Amotekun, have taken control of the CBEX office located in the Oke-Ado area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The development comes in the wake of a violent attack on the office by enraged investors who reportedly lost money to the alleged crash of the online trading platform.

WESTERN POST had earlier reported that a group of angry residents, who invested in the scheme, stormed the office on Monday evening and carted away valuables following news of the platform’s collapse.

When WESTERN POST visited the premises on Tuesday, patrol vehicles belonging to both the police and Amotekun were stationed around the building to prevent further unrest and maintain law and order.

Meanwhile, affected Nigerians have continued to voice their frustrations on social media, accusing CBEX of wiping out funds from their accounts without warning.
