Small Doctor faces backlash for reaching out to Lagos Commissioner

Popular Nigerian musician, Small Doctor, has come under fire from netizens on X (formerly Twitter) for reaching out to the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Barr. Tokunbo Wahab.
Small Doctor disclosed that several users on the platform criticized him for reporting an individual who was flouting environmental laws in Lagos State.
In his words:
“I see so many people trying to bash me because I addressed the Honourable Commissioner, @tokunbo_wahab, in the best way I thought I should.
“Some even came into my DMs, calling him a ‘social media commissioner’ and saying he won’t do anything. Someone is clearly enforcing the law and keeping the public informed, yet people still claim it’s fake. Are the demolitions fake?”
He further stated that while Wahab is doing the job he was appointed to do, he still deserves commendation when doing it right.
“I understand that this is his job, but please, when someone is trying, give them a little credit so they can do even more. But guess what? I’ll keep you guys updated. This is Lagos — Eko o ni baje!”
