Southwest Govs. condemn Yoruba Nation

…Elects Sanwo-olu as new leader

Southwest Governors on Monday condemned those agitating for Yoruba Nation as they promised to strengthen DAWN .

This was made known after their meeting at the Lagos House Ikeja. Governors of Oyo, Osun , Ekiti, Ondo and Ogun were all present for the meeting.

In the communique read by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu after the meeting he said the South West Governors have elected  Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the new chairman of South  West Governors, they also agreed on State Police in  South West.

He said “The forum has adapted Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the new chairman after the death of Rotimi Akeredolu . The forum also congratulated Lucky Ayedatiwa as the new executive Governor of Ondo State and for winning the party ticket of Ondo State. Moving  Forward the South West Governors have also adapted a national anthem ‘ Ise WA fun Ile wa’.

“ On Agriculture , all the commissioners in the Southwest will collaborate o find lasting solution to the food crisis in South .West. We also agreed to pay whatever the Federal Government agrees on minimum wage. We also support State police and we will continue to  collaborate and promote Amotekun. We would continue to strengthen DAWN, Development Agenda for Western Nigeria, as each state has a member in the DAWN committee to promote the socio and economic importance of the South West Region “
