The new MD Bank of Industry Supo Olusi, up close & personal
The newly-appointed Managing Director and Chief Wxecutive Officer of the Bank of Industry, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, is not a son or relation of Lagos All Progressives Congress leader, Chief Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, as being assumed or speculated in several quarters.
Westernpost can report today that the new BoI MD is actually from Akoko area of Ondo State and not from Lagos where Baba Olusi hails from and leads the governing party.
Dr Olusi was appointed following the voluntary resignation of former BOI MD & CEO, Mr. Olukayode Pitan.
Dr Olusi has served as a World Bank economist and development finance expert over the past 20 years.
Between 2011 and 2015, Dr Olusi was the Economic Adviser to then Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance.
He is an alumnus of Hull University, United Kingdom. He also obtained a Masters degree in International Money, Finance, and Investment, as well as a Doctorate in Finance & Economics from Durham University, United Kingdom, in 2005.
As at Friday afternoon, Dr Olusi was tidying up in Washington DC in readiness to resume his appointment in Lagos.
