President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains fully committed to identifying, nurturing, and transforming the talents of Nigerian youth into productive and fulfilling careers.

This was the assurance given by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Anthony Adeboye Adeyinka, during the Labour Employment and Empowerment Programme (LEEP) held at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.

The event, which brought together policymakers, private sector leaders, development partners, and youth representatives, focused on equipping young Nigerians with practical skills, employment opportunities, and empowerment strategies aimed at addressing unemployment and fostering economic self-reliance.

In his remarks, Adeyinka highlighted the immense potential of grassroots sports as a powerful tool for youth development and job creation. “Sports is not just a game; it is a gateway to opportunity. Through grassroots sports, we can engage, empower, and employ thousands of Nigerian youths,” he said.

He emphasized President Tinubu’s unwavering dedication to creating an enabling environment where young people, whether athletically inclined or otherwise, can thrive and turn their talents into sustainable careers.

Adeyinka also hinted at forthcoming initiatives designed to integrate sports into broader national empowerment schemes, ensuring that no young Nigerian with potential is left behind.

According to him, grassroots sports development will continue to play a pivotal role in the administration’s youth-focused agenda, serving as a vital pillar of national development.
