President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, on his 65th birthday.

In a statement issued on Monday, President Tinubu described Senator Kalu as a resilient patriot and visionary leader whose life and career have significantly contributed to Nigeria’s political and economic landscape.

Reflecting on their long-standing friendship dating back to their time as governors in 1999, Tinubu praised their shared commitment to national development, noting that their collaboration has remained strong despite political differences over the years.

“Senator Kalu, my friend, is a patriot whose life embodies resilience, generosity, and the transformative power of visionary leadership,” Tinubu said.

The President also lauded Kalu’s entrepreneurial achievements—particularly through his conglomerate, Slok Holding—and his investments in the banking and media sectors, which he said have created numerous jobs and opportunities for Nigerians.

President Tinubu prayed for renewed strength, wisdom, and many more years of service for the former Senate Chief Whip.
