Tinubu leads in 14 LGs in Kwara as APC wins 2 senatorial seats

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is leading in 14 local government areas announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kwara State.

In Edu Local Government, Tinubu is leading with 18,564 votes. PDP is second with 13,249 votes, SDP (2,397) and LP (696).

Tinubu is leading with 10,389 votes in Patigi Local Government followed by PDP with 6,395. SDP scored 2,313, while LP had 727 votes.

Results announced for Ilorin West Local Government showed that Tinubu scored 47,784 votes, PDP (29,978), LP (5,598) and SDP (1,339).

In Kaiama, the APC presidential candidate got 14,580, PDP, 6,073, SDP, 496 and LP 435.

Tinubu got 16,369 votes in Ifelodun Local Government, followed by PDP with 6,457, LP had 2,517, SDP, 1,822 and YPP 419.

Other local government results are; Oke –Ero, APC (), PDP (3,074), LP (592), NNPP (16), SDP (938).

Ilorin East, APC (24,264), PDP (13,325), LP (2,409), NNPP (132), SDP (2,843).

Asa, APC (15,123), PDP (10,482), LP (678), NNPP (116).

Offa, APC (19,475), PDP (3,508), LP (1,444), NNPP (71), SDP (1,347).

Ekiti, APC (5,739), PDP (3,760), LP (721) NNPP (13).

Isin APC, (4,484), PDP (2,506).

Irepodun, APC (11,545), PDP (6,368), LP (300), NNPP (113).

Oyun, APC (8,838), PDP (4,298), LP (6), NNPP (1,867).

Ilorin South, APC (21,620), PDP (10,806), LP (7,274), NNPP (166).

Meanwhile, APC has won two senatorial seats in the state. Mallam Saliu Mustapha emerged winner for Kwara Central senatorial district.

In the result announced by INEC, Mustapha polled 109,823

Bolaji Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 69,202, while the Social Democratic party (SDP) candidate, Ridwan Apaokagi polled 13,193 votes.

In Kwara South Senatorial District, Lola Ashiru was reelected.

Prof Ajibola Akanbi, the returning officer for INEC, while announcing the result at the collation centre in Omu Aran, said Ashiru polled 55,966 votes, while Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim of the PDP scored 34,950 votes.

Prof Wale Suleiman of the SDP scored 24,215 votes.
