Tinubu, mourns Akeredolu’s mother

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has commiserated with Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, over the passing of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Bosede Akeredolu.

Governor Akeredolu’s mother died on Thursday in her sleep at the age of 90.

Asíwájú Tinubu, in a statement on Thursday in Abuja by his Media Office, prayed God Almighty to comfort the governor and his siblings at this period.

He said: “My deepest condolences and sympathy to His Excellency, Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over the peaceful passing of his dear mother, Lady Evangelist Bosede Akeredolu, on Thursday morning.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the governor and his siblings at this moment.

“The death of a parent, particularly a dear mother, is always a painful thing. I know how it feels because I have passed through the experience before.

“I’m glad Governor Akeredolu and his siblings have accepted the transition as the will of God Almighty. We must all be consoled that Mama lived to an advanced age of 90, which is our wish for our parents.

“Described as ‘Abiyamo Tooto’ (a true, dutiful and doting mother), Lady Evangelist Akeredolu devoted her life to the service of God, her children and humanity.

“It is particularly noteworthy that Mama left behind wonderful children including Governor Akeredolu.

“I pray that God Almighty console and comfort the governor, his other siblings and indeed all those Mama left behind. May He also grant the soul of Lady Evangelist Akeredolu eternal rest.”
