Tinubu/Shettima: Sanwo-Olu’s aide charges ethnic groups on 40m votes

Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Drainage Services, Joe Igbokwe, has charged the non-Yoruba speaking groups in Lagos to mobilise 40 million votes for the Tinubu/Shettima project.

Igbokwe made the charge on Thursday at the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Acme, Ikeja, Lagos, while addressing the congregation of Lagos APC ethnic youths.

The Leader of Igbos in Lagos APC said that Tinubu had laboured for more than 30years for Nigeria and so he should be compensated with massive votes to make him Nigerian President in 2023.

He added that Nigeria was too big to be left in the hands of mediocre, advising the youths not to waste their votes in the 2023 general elections.

Igbokwe said: “We have done our calculations, analysis very well and we reached a conclusion that it is only Tinubu that can govern Nigeria very well. He did it when he was governor of Lagos. He set up a development plan for Lagos and it is upon it that his predecessors rode on.

“Tinubu is experienced; he stands for development, he can be trusted. We want you us to go back home and preach the gospel to your people. We are expecting 40million votes from the ethnic nationalities for Tinubu/Shettima come 2023. This is the pay back time for Tinubu”.

In his goodwill message, Deputy State Chairman of APC, Mr Moshood Mayegun, who represented the party Chairman, described Tinubu as a detribalised politician with respect for ethnic nationalities.

Mayegun said that after Tinubu left public office as governor, he had never put himself forward for political position until now, adding that the non-Yoruba speaking communities should reciprocate by voting him as President at the 2023 polls.
The executives of the Lagos APC Ethnic Youths was inaugurated as Mr Leo Obasi from the Igbo extraction was appointed President while Ibrahim Musa Bebeji was appointed Vice President.
