Umo Eno commends Gov Emmanuel over 1.15km Afi-Uko Nteghe Bridge

…pledges further developmental strides by connecting the dots

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has lauded the state governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the successful completion and commissioning of the 1.15km Afi-Uko Nteghe Bridge, in Mbo Local Government Area.

Pastor Eno gave the commendation in his goodwill message delivered at the commissioning programme which was attended by Nigerians from within and outside the state.

The 1.15km Afi-Uko Ntighe Bridge is on the 19km Etebi-Enwang Road linking Mbo LGA with Esit Eket LGA.

Pastor Eno who was elated by the quality and obvious impact of the project said: “I sat there looking at the bridge and the things you have done, and I cannot but see the array of opportunities you have opened for Akwa Ibomites. I see the solution hub, I see the Ibom Industrial City, I see the Ibom Deep Seaport; and so this bridge is not just to link one community to another but to link Akwa Ibom state to the industrial revolution.”

He noted that the giant development strides of Governor Emmanuel has placed a burden of responsibility and leadership on the succeeding administration which according to him, has to ensure that it follows through by opening the Ibom solution hub, Ibom industrial city and the Ibom deep seaport.

The bridge was commissioned by former President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, who was flanked by his wife, Dame Patience and former governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Wada (rtd)
