UNIMAID lecturer brutally murdered on campus

Unnamed individuals have murdered Dr. Kamar Abdulkadir, a lecturer in the Department of Physical and Health Education at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

The incident was said to occur on Sunday, when the perpetrators entered his office and attacked him using a knife and hammer.

Dr. Abdulkadir would tragically die in his office.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region, disclosed the incident on Monday via his X handle.

According to him, Dr. Abdulkadir was discovered deceased, bearing multiple injuries inflicted by his assailants.

The assailants are also suspected to have made away with the victim’s vehicle and other belongings.

Makama added, “His hands were peeled off when he tried to stop the attackers from stabbing him. They also used a hammer to smash his head and his spinal cord, killing him instantly.”

Also, at the time of filing this report, neither the Borno State Police Command nor the university authorities has issued any statement in respect to the murder.
