Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, has disclosed that up to 10,000 eligible individuals would be given opportunities in the ministry’s proposed restructuring investment fund programme.

The minister made the disclosure on Thursday, at the ongoing ministerial press briefing.

Bio-Ibrahim assured that the Federal Government has mapped out a strategy for involving Nigerian youths in its policies.

She emphasized the importance of clustering young people to foster enterprise development in priority sectors such as the green economy, creative sector, digital economy, space agriculture, and the mining sector.

“By organizing young people into clusters, we can leverage economies of scale and competitive advantages, ensuring government investments have a greater impact.

“Engaging 5,000 to 10,000 young people in specific locations can significantly impact grassroots development,” she explained.

The minister also highlighted the initiative’s potential to benefit grassroots communities, particularly through agricultural practices.

This briefing comes as part of the commemorations of President Bola Tinubu’s first anniversary in office, with the President mandating his ministers to present their performance reports to the public.

WESTERN POST reports that the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on Wednesday announced the series of sectoral media briefings.

He was joined by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu.
