Yoruba Assembly holds summit to address insecurity in South West

The Yoruba Assembly, a coalition of prominent leaders and stakeholders in the South West, is set to hold a crucial summit to address the security challenges facing Yorubaland.
The summit, scheduled for Thursday, April 3, at Oranmiyan Hall, Airport Hotel, will bring together over 900 delegates from across the region.
It will be chaired by Gen. Alani Akinrinade (rtd) and Hon. Wale Osun, who will lead discussions on the growing threats to security, livelihoods, and communities in the South West, as well as the broader implications for democracy in Nigeria.
According to the Planning Committee Chairman, Adewale Adeoye, the summit is expected to yield far-reaching decisions aimed at tackling insecurity and ensuring the safety and prosperity of Yoruba people.
The committee further urged stakeholders, traditional rulers, security experts, and community leaders to attend the gathering to contribute to the discussions on safeguarding the future of Yorubaland.
