Actors Guild holds candlelight procession for Mr Ibu, others

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has organised a candlelight procession for late Nollywood actors John Okafor also known as ‘Mr Ibu’, Amaechi Muonagor and Zulu Adigwe.

The actors, fans and friends gathered at the Unity Fountain in Abuja on Monday night to pay tribute to the departed Nollywood veterans.

The National President of the AGN, Emeka Rollas, Zack Orji, Kenneth Okonkwo and others attended the procession.

They paid glowing tributes to the lives and times of the late actors in recognition of their contributions to the Nigerian film industry.

The participants highlighted the brilliance and commitment they brought to their craft while alive, adding that the late actors were all driven by passion and not quick monetary gains.

Prayers were offered for the souls of the three late veterans.

John Okafor also known as ‘Mr Ibu’, passed away on 2 March 2024. He was 62. Amaechi Muonagor died on 24 March at 61 years of age while Zulu Adigwe passed on earlier in April at the age of 83.
