Africa Social Impact Summit, a global platform for effective collaboration- Lagos Commissioner

The Lagos State Government says the Africa Social Impact Summit will serve as a global platform for effective collaboration and alignment by critical players in Africa’s social development sector.

The State Government said the Summit will focus on Education, Circular Economy, Health, Climate Solutions and Food Security.

Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Folashade Ambrose- Medebem said this at a briefing on the Summit holding in Lagos, in collaboration with the United Nations Global Compact Network Nigeria and the private sector.

She said the Africa Social Impact Summit themed: “Reimagining Progress: A New Blueprint for Sustainable Growth in Africa,” would attract investments among other benefits that would create the levers required to transform systems from an undesirable state, to a more sustainable, progressive state.

The Commissioner said ” The State, in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S+ Development Agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration is committed to harness collective energies, wisdom, and resources to lay down a new blueprint for sustainable growth in Africa”.

Also Speaking, some stakeholders said the summit among other benefits would transform Africa in to global house and reshape Africa Impact Solutions for more strategic positive outcomes.
