The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun received a high-level delegation from Agence Française de Développement on Wednesday, led by Mr. Philippe Orliange, the Paris-based Executive Director of Geographies, along with other top management officials.

Officials from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) revealed that the courtesy call was a part of events honouring the organization’s 15 years of existence in Nigeria. The purpose of the visit was to make sure that the administration’s priorities and AFD’s future projects are aligned.

In addition to highlighting the difficulties and achievements of the ongoing reforms, the Minister acknowledged the successful collaboration between the Federal Government and AFD over the years and emphasised that the administration’s short-term priorities were to address the issues of food security and nutrition and expedite the distribution of targeted benefits to the poor and vulnerable.
