Gov Oyebanji swears in four new permanent secretaries in Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, inaugurated four new Permanent Secretaries on Monday, urging them to uphold transparency, integrity, and prudence in their roles.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Governor’s Office conference hall in Ado-Ekiti.

In his address, Governor Oyebanji emphasized the importance of teamwork, confidence building, and collective responsibility, encouraging the new appointees to inspire others by being solution providers. He also stressed the need for innovation and the use of technology in their duties.

He highlighted that the appointments resulted from a merit-based examination process rather than personal connections.

“I am happy that today’s exercise is a product of a merit-based examination process and not as a result of man-know-man,” he stated.

The Governor urged all accounting officers across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to enhance their service delivery efforts to achieve the administration’s shared prosperity agenda.

He reiterated the need for the new Permanent Secretaries to exhibit creativity, compassion, and vigor in their roles.
