Olamide names top collaborators, favorite music genre in AskOlamide session

Award-winning Nigerian rapper and record label executive, Olamide Adedeji, also known as Baddo, recently shared his top collaborators in the Nigerian music industry.

In an AskOlamide session on the social media platform X, the YBNL music company head revealed his enjoyment in making music with his signees, Asake and Fireboy DML.

“I really enjoy making music with Fireboy x Ckay x Asake,” Olamide tweeted, highlighting the synergy he finds with these artists.

Surprising many fans, Olamide disclosed that his favorite genre of music is Classical, a stark contrast to his reputation as a rapper.

Importantly, he admitted to remembering the lyrics of only some of his older songs, stating, “The ones I perform frequently, yes.”

When asked about his preferred international female artists for collaboration, Olamide expressed his admiration for many, including Cardi B, Remy Ma, Lil Kim, and Missy Elliott, among others.

Olamide recently released an EP titled ‘Ikighai.’ Discussing the inspiration behind one of the tracks, ‘Synchro System.

“We made it for Pheelz… but baba said it would be released in December. I told him that’s too far, so I begged him to let me drop it sooner. lol” he explained.
