Fire razes buildings in Dosunmu market

…goods worth millions of Naira destroyed

Just a day after firefighters extinguished a blaze at Apongbon market, another market, Dosumu Market, has succumbed to flames, causing extensive damage to goods worth millions of Naira.

Emergency crews from the Lagos fire service and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) are working to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further within the market.

Unfortunately, one building has already collapsed due to the intense blaze that started on Tuesday morning.

Ibrahim Farinloye, the Southwest Coordinator for NEMA, and Amodu Sjakiru, Head of Public Education at the Lagos State Fire Service, have confirmed the situation and stated that efforts to extinguish the fire are underway.
