FG closes Lead British School over bullying

A trending video of a female student of Lead British International School, Abuja, being bullied by her schoolmate has sparked outrage on social media.
The pandemonium started on Monday night, when an X user, with handle @mooyeeeeeee, called for justice for a female student of the school who was bullied by her classmates.
Alongside a video of the incident, she wrote, “There’s a video I’m about to post. I need you guys to help me get justice for (sic). She was bullied in her school by her classmates at Lead British School, Abuja. Pls make it go viral so she can get justice.”
In one of the videos, the victim was seen being slapped multiple times by another female student while asking “Who broke my heart?”
The victim who was also beaten in one of the school’s empty halls in another video has now been identified as Namtira Bwala.
Reacting, to the incident, some Nigerians on the X platform called on the school to ensure justice is served.
@Jesusgbemi wrote, “It’s disheartening to watch Namtira being bullied. The school management, along with Maryam and her associates in the circulating videos, should be held accountable and brought to justice. SAY NO TO BULLY #JusticeForNamtira

However in a recent development, The schoolgirl who bullied her schoolmate at the Lead British School in Abuja was identified and brought to the school on Tuesday.
Also, Minister for Women Affairs, Barrister Uju Kennedy Ohanenye has visited the school and ordered its closure for three days, while investigations are ongoing to ascertain events leading to the incident.
