Alia promises to re-open nursing schools in Benue

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has promised to reopen nursing schools in the State.

Disclosing this during a thanksgiving mass at St. Gabriel’s Parish on Sunday, he emphasized the need for safer medical practices and upgrading these schools to higher institutional levels for enhanced knowledge acquisition.

Expressing concern over the inadequate health facilities leading to avoidable deaths, Governor Alia urged global health donors to collaborate with the state government in revitalizing the health sector.

The Governor also pledged to modernize community health organizations to bolster hospital support for efficient medical services, as he advocated for affordable and nearly free enrollment in these institutions for qualified citizens.

Governor Alia further reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting science, technology, and youth empowerment, particularly in the Jechira axis.

He assured continuous efforts to address insecurity issues and implored citizens to report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities to safeguard their communities.
