Eid-el-Fitr: Ayinde preaches unity, benevolence

The Chief of Staff to Lagos State Governor, Mr Tayo Ayinde, has called for unity, true love and philanthropy as Muslims celebrate 2024 Eid-el-Fitr.

A statement issued on Wednesday by his Personal Assistant, Peter Ajayi, said Ayinde extends felicitation to the Nigerian Muslim community, emphasizing that the Eid-el-Fitr celebration embodies unity, true love and benevolence.

“Whilst the 2024 Ramadan fasting lasted, Muslims around the world demonstrated diligence, devotion and discipline in observing their religion obligations. The solemn rite is a source of inspiration and corroboration of the strength of the human spirit, as it were”, Ayinde stated.

Ayinde accentuated that the Eid-el-Fitr season is not only a time to bask in the euphoric blessings of God but also a window to reflect on the spiritual lessons of Ramadan and strengthen the bonds of unity, love, and camaraderie among all Nigerians, regardless of religion or ethnic divides.

“As Muslims around the world commemorate this occasion, let us recall those who are less fortunate and extend a hand of philanthropy and kindness to them”

“This is a great opportunity to also rededicate our lives to the virtues and values of peace, forbearance, and understanding,” he said.
