The Oba Kehinde Olugbenle Foundation (OKOF) has donated two hostels to the College of Nursing Science, Ilaro.

Oba Olugbenle is the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland and Olu of Ilaro in Ogun State.

According to a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Pastor Taiwo Olugbenle, the provision of the two hostels is a practical demonstration of the vision and commitment of the Olu-Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, to the infrastructural development of Ilaro and Yewaland at large.

The donation was earmarked to commemorate the 12th Coronation Anniversary of the monarch.

The event featured the presentation of the 2024 financial grants/support to selected physically challenged students of Yewa origin.

The twin-programme was held at the College of Nursing Hostel premises, opposite the State Hospital, IIaro and attracted dignitaries drawn from government and prominent sons and daughters of Yewaland.

Pastor Olugbenle, who is the twin brother of Oba Olugbenle, said the Oba Olugbenle Foundation was established to promote development in Yewaland, support the less privileged and complement Government efforts.

He said it was in line with the vision of Oba Olugbenle to rule and lead by example in his bid to mobilize all Yewa people for the development of the town.

Other projects which the Foundation has completed or is working on include the repair and renovation of five classrooms at the Technical and Science College, Ayetoro-Yewa; donation of three standard lecture rooms with capacity for 100 students at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro-Yewa; donation of computers, power generators, mattresses, etc to the Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa and ongoing construction of three standard lecture rooms at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Agricultural Sciences College Campus, Ayetoro-Yewa, among others.
